W.D. “Bill” Davis

Bill's urge to explore the world with brush and canvas first paid off when he was in high school.

In 1958, one of his stormy-sea paintings was exhibited at the prestigious Laguna Festival of Arts. Today, after decades of squeezing a little painting time into a busy career, Bill's time is dedicated to his art and passing along what he has learned to others.

After growing up in in a commercial fishing family and coming of age in the US Navy, much of Bill's work centers around maritime scenes and seagoing vessels of the past. But when asked what he paints, his response is :

"...whatever catches my eye!"
