Christel Cone

Christel Cone was born in Germany during World War II. She came to America in 1952 at the age of 13 and became a Naturalized USA Citizen after completing High School. In later years she pursued a career in Laboratory Medicine.

Her passion for the Arts started early in life. She attended Theatre productions and visited Museums, learned Decoupage, Tole Painting, Pottery, and Macrame. She also enjoys Knitting, Crocheting, Needlework, Spinning Yarn, Weaving and Basketry. Most of these were self-taught. Christel has been beach combing for many years and it gives her joy to share some of her finds by creating driftwood art scenes for others to enjoy. She also uses interesting pieces of driftwood for her Macrame hangings.

Christel currently lives in Federal Way and has a small Etsy Shop with her daughter Renate, featuring her handcrafted items and collectible vintage pieces. You can find them at:
